Was Miss USA's choice for her "native" dress appropriate?
Looking at the Miss Universe candidates native dress each wore for their introduction video, you see everything from folklore lions, to peasant farming gowns, to our very own Miss USA in a white jumpsuit with a guitar painted like the American flag, honoring her hometown, and Elvis. While she was not alone in her eccentric play on the category, do you think she should have worn the get-up? Past Miss USA's opted for a southern belle costume, or something from precolonial days going native american.

I mean, I think they all looked kind of dippy during that part. Seriously. And it's all schtick, anyway. Except for some of the Latin women who dressed for Carnivale, most of the women looked kind of weird during the opening sketch. Personally, I thought Miss USA's outfit was kind of clever.
