Halloween pictures at home to save money?

I have a real nice cannon camera. I made my daughters christmas pictures at home last year then sent it through online walgreen for a frame, and it came out real nice. NOW we have a newborn girl(5 weeks) and I am finding it tight ($) at the end of the month for halloween pics. Should I do the same at home in their costumes? I am definitely getting a professional pic this weekend (getting paid) for her newborn pic and her and her sister pic. But for halloween would you do this at home? Any background ideas?

Yes, of course. Getting more than 1 set of prof pics a year, per child is overkill, anyway. That is what your personal cam is for!
