Tim Burton's Mad Hatter costume ideas please...?

I'm going to a mate's Alice and Wonderland party next week as the Mad Hatter. I am gonna buy the clothes and make up, etc. tomorrow, but can't yet because I need some advice on what to wear (btw - I'm a girl). Ok, so I have the shoes, they are small black heels with big bows on them and I need to know what type/colour etc of clothes to wear.

You could get an old top and some trousers that are a dark Colour and buy some material and make somr bows and sew the bows on to them Just idear =D
