anyone have any ideas on how to make a leprechaun costume?!?
its for spirit week at school, freshmans are leprechauns :/
ALSO! any ideas on how to decorate the freshman hallway leprechaun style? any ideas are good, we're even thinking about getting faux grass and laying it on the floor across the whole hallway
Leprechaun face:
Paint-
flesh colored-face
green- hat
reddish brown- hair
gold-buckle on the hat
Get a bucket and dump in Elmer's glue. Add one cup of water or more if needed....keep the glue nice n gooey.
Blow up a large helium quality balloon.
Tape the balloon to the top of a vase with a large opening. Fold the ends of the tape so that the balloon will be easily removed after it becomes covered with the wet newspaper.
Use strips of newspaper to fashion the head of the leprechaun by dipping the newspaper into the glue and then applying to the balloon.
Allow to dry. May take a day or more for the head to dry.
Remove from vase and pop the balloon.
Paint your face.
Add real hair, a hat, or paint then onto the face.
Use an ice pick to puncture holes ...then add thick rubber bands for use as a mask.
You need a rainbow:
Use swimming pool 'noodles' ...Have someone sew sleeves of fabric that will fit over these to make all the colors of the rainbow. Leave some long pieces of fabric dangling off the ends that will hang down to the floor.
Put the pot of gold underneath the rainbow.
Pot of Gold:
Get a large aluminum wash tub from someones farm or something similar that is very big and round.
Stuff it with wadded up newspaper ....then cover the look of the newspaper with gold colored wrapping paper.
Have several people bring in bags of candy to fill the 'Pot of Gold' with candy that everyone can grab some candy from as they walk down the hallway.
Large Gold coin:
Make a large gold coin that spins on a piece of PVC pipe mounted onto board painted green so that people can 'spin the coin'.
