Dealing with my modesty?

I'm doing my first ice skating show, and the dress rehearshal is soon. They don't give us our costumes and I am guessing we have to change there. And there are no private places to change....plus I'm super modest and shy! I will feel so embarrassed. What will help?

Don't worry -- I think everyone goes through feeling like that at some point. Nobody looks forward to changing in the gym locker room at school! You just have to be creative with your changing.... Before you pull the top of your dress down, just pull your arms out, put a sweatshirt on over and you can then pull the top of your dress down without showing anything. Or just turn your back to them while your changing. If you're taking off your dress, you'll already have tights on, I'm assuming, so nothing to see there! (I've had lots of practice changing in cars going from school to the rink in high school!)

Don't be embarassed. You'll be fine. Just remember -- everything you've got, they've got too.
