Glinda (Wicked) - Cosplay/Halloween Costume Help!?
My friend and I plan to cosplay Elphaba and Glinda from Wicked. I'm going to be Glinda, but I'm having a hard time finding a good dress. I don't want to do the Wizard of Oz Glinda dress because it's not the same. I've been thinking about looking for some hideous pink poofy number from the '80s, but I'm still not sure. And I think I'll just buy a Marilyn Monroe Wig and a little tiara or something for my hair. It's just the dress I'm concerned about.
Any suggestions???
Fifties. Go to an op shop and get a stylish dress from the fifties - you can dye it pink later, it just has to have a nice skirt and a tight bodice. (Or 80s would work too, if you pick a good style.)
The only advice I have is that you should look for the dress based on shape first and colour second. You can always change the colour of a dress - it's often a bit harder to change the shape.
