Having a 80's costume party, what should i wear?

My friend is having a back to school party with the theme 80's and so we have to dress up like we are from the 80's. How should i dress up? any details you can give me are appreciated!!!
And how should i do my hair?

"Ratting" your hair was very popular in the 80's. The bigger the better and put on a headband or something. Also big earings and colorful bangles were really in back then. Biker style shorts with lace trim and a tunic would look cool. Try some dark eyemakup and glitter too.
